Fibre To The Mast

My Internet is dogshit

And I can't get fibre optic

But a company near me called boundless are doing something called FTTM Which is a fibre link to mast then a microwave link to another mast on your house.

The nearest mast to me is on buckshaw and I can just about see it from my roof top

They are coming to survey and prob install next week

I was wondering if anyone had come across this tech or if anyone had it. As I know there's a few buckshaw folk on here

It's a 24 month contract , 150 install then 22 for 5mb, 30 for 10mb or 40 for 20mb, so I don't want to commit and it be shite.

But I guess anything is better than my current 1mb comnnection

Microwave link has been around for a while, a lot of schools use this.

From what I remember from an NT4 course I went on in 2001 the only real issue is "line of sight".

A mate of mine lives on buckshaw, he uses boundless and is very impressed with it
