Have a few books here he's been involved in. Comes down to whether you're talking originals or Mod revival types I suppose. Fast forward to the last few years and there's a new breed around pushing Acid Jazz (I particularly like Third Degrees version of 'Mercy') and many are starting to crop up down here at Northern Soul venues etc. Plenty of it is very good. I'd be prepared to give it a few more listens but not what I'd call a floor stomper. To go back to an absolute staple, can you imagine this classic without sax?
