You've got to remember that the match was played in Artic conditions with 60MPH winds, the stadium was very low creating a whirlpool on the pitch... how we were ever going to play attractive football or score a shed full is beyond me

Totally agree - the win was all important.

 

I just doubt the wisdom of continually playing a striker who isn't playing regular first team football and who isn't scoring. Erikson said not too long ago that he would like all his players to be playing regular Champions League football.

 

Now I know Owen hasn;t been at Real for too long but how is he gonna get a game ahead of Raul, Ronaldo and Morientes?
