Indeed, it would have been hard to pick a tactical route which wouldn't have won from that position once the rain stayed light enough to play though.

 

Nice for Woakes but shame Jimmy didn't get MoM - 5fors are much rarer than centuries and 9 wickets in the match even more so. It's a batsman's game!

I think given it seemed most batsmen struggled that perhaps he edged the award. He took some wickets too.

 

Not that it matters really. A good performance and good that Jimmy wasn't over worked. Keep him fresh for Trent bridge.
