For the true elite Kristin Hersch doing paired back shows in October and teasing back in studio with Throwing Muses.
Might do triple header with her in Liverpool night before PJ at Albert Hall and bright new things Coach Party at Gorilla on the Saturday.

Watching Fred Again to see what fuss is about.
Fitting the Marlborough College educated singing about the jungle is culpable for 12 Ed Sheeran songs.

AI to stop water pollution before it happens

Blimey, a news article that understands river pollution is an issue with agriculture rather than claiming the water companies dump raw sewage for fun
Biggest problem with that experiment is the instrumentation needs calibrating and filters cleaned at leat weekly as well as relying on solar power. The EA are trying to impose similar sets upstream and downstream of every treatment works discharge with no understanding of the engineering reality.

As we’re calling out for prentention I’ll ask again was there a media blackout of Christine and his Queens? Hopefully it was a scrumpy induced nightmare
Sparks banging out the 70s stuff (when they were a huge influence on synth pop which is why you need to understand your music history) was superb. Some of new stuff sounded like 70 year olds trying to be cutting edge strangely enough.

Anyway, I’ve moved onto the Slowdive set now. Liking this so far.
Being press ganged to Blondie over these biggest regret.
Missing Shame and Blossoms/Astley might have been if Manics weren’t so good and caught Vlure in bbc introducing do a chaotic set with God isa DJ finish.
Reallly surprised how little chatter about Christine and the Queens. Used to be fairly good melodic pop art band, but the testosterone she/he has necked has addled brain. Took jacket off showing off moobs and biceps second song in and strutted around stage to wall of deep bass for the hour we put up with it till it said “art is so serious I would die for it”. Many gave up before us.
The Last Dinner Party will be huge by next year. Cross between Florence and Wet Leg.

Back in the real world.
Glad sacked off AM for Young Fathers , Sparks and Chemical Brothers who were all great.
Gave up on Pretenders as all could hear was techno in the Stonebridge, which was bad move as Leftfield would have been better than GnR and whatever the fuck Christine and the Queens has become.
Knew the rap better than Debbie Harry.
Beth Orton was chilled start to Sunday, Black Country New Road didn’t grab me.
Working Men’s club are Joy Division 5th album if Ian had a disco biscuit instead of an overdose, which was cool.
QotSA were on fire as were crowd as reaction to the Elton hype.
Saw Raye do set in bbc introducing tent after she had done Pyramid, which made lot of youngsters very excited.
Had a great day Thursday, watching some young bands in the bars. Made young singers day when told her Prima queen reminded me of Tanya Donnelly.
More random thoughts as go back over thread.
Oh, sure scousers have managed their usual tricks of jibbing in , given numbers there and any knob who had black guide ropes on tent needs castrating

Step father in law is in there atm. Wonderful staff met last weekend and the gardens very calming.
Mother in law volunteered at the hospice shop for years.
Sadly the CEO of the equivalent St Luke’s in Plymouth was a victim of the boat fire in Egypt during the week.

Am sorry but what exactly is an inverted full back ?
What City started doing with Stones and Lewis being next to Rodri in possession and dropping to RB for defence.
They have pretty much moved to a 2 at the back now with little defensive duties on Stones

Weyes Blood - she is worth watching
She was on list before BCNR jumped above as their slots are one after other on different stages .
Although may not get past Bbc introducing for Coach Party and Primae Queen

Because of the way it came about, it really isn't like a live album. Fair play to them for just carrying on and doing something as bold as this.
It’s jumped them to a must do on Glastonbury clashfinder (thinly veiled guess who got tickets)
Anybody got any other lesser known bands worth checking out?

A mate grew up in Salcombe and stayed in Plymouth after University for work but always wanted to move backwhen ready to breed. Average house price there is now £1.2M and population goes from 2000 in winter to 25000 during Eton hols. Crazy.

Actual southerners or just affecting Towie, Made in Chelsea accents?
Anyhow, not as bad as influx of scousers the SW has put up with.

Dont sell to em, then
Its that simple
But no, the locals take the easy money
Shame
With average wages down in Cornwall mainly from hospitality sector being way below national average not a Hope in hell of local kids buying a garage in St Ives let alone a property. Air BnB and second homes are hoovering up all the tourist spots and no way can be stopped now.

2 of my mates went to Thailand because it worked out cheaper. Prices on almost everything have gone through the roof
TBF the whole country has hyper inflation not just the tourist market trying to cash in.

That would be a step forward, regarding number of games surely the academies can let kids play 1 game/session less so that they can also play grass roots with mates if they wish, that would also lighten the blow for kids jettisoned out of academies as they’d still be able to continue playing grass roots with their mates.
Interesting chat had with dad whose lad was in this boat. The Academy note that grass roots can be shut down for months and then piled high in fixtures at end of season when they want kids for tournaments

If getting too close to reach around territory chuffed for you guys clearly on decent footing after nightmare of administration.
Talked to a few whites Saturday evening on the cattle truck back from Manc and said how well you lot prepared for Wembley compared to ourselves. They started off disappointed couldn’t get a rise out of me and yoof jnr but had good laugh by Salford, chanting tram stop near City at the few reds about.

Taking risk on Charlatans, Pastel and PJ Harvey lining up with games oop north.

Caught few songs from War on Drugs passing from Editors to Mantra of the Cosmos. They have some catchy tunes but all a bit background music rather than something to grab you.
