We say it quite optimistically but can we actually make it?
Well the form table shows us joint top in the last 8 games along with Watford but Forest are definitely rejuvenated with the recent return of Billy Davies. Leicester have been in pretty poor form over the last couple of weeks winning just 1 in there last 5 and where I thought there may be only one team to get the last play off spot could there be both us and Forest.
A win v Brighton on Saturday puts us two points behind the shit lifters and if results go our way we could move as high as 7th.
Leicester need to start winning or risk being pipped to the space as well after being good runners early on but look at the teams in the middle of the league and there recent form suggests that some of the teams in and around the play offs may just look over there shoulder, like we did the other week at the relegation battle. Teams like Millwall and Derby now just 7 points off the bottom 3 and Millwall have lost 7 of there last 8 and Derby winning just 1 of there last 8 means that this season can take a remarkable twist at both ends of the table. I'd like to see the odds on Cardiff not to get promoted as there recent poor form has happened so many times over the years, the great bottlers of this division now only 5 points clear of the pack with any of the top 4 having a good chance of winning it after a dismal run of 2 wins in the last 6.
Personally I think to guarantee a play off spot we can afford to drop only 6 points as for the past two seasons the the final team have been on 75 points. Now we have two away games against two teams I've mentioned in below par form being Cardiff and Leicester which look very tricky on paper and we also have two away games against teams battling for there lives at the bottom of the league in Bristol City and Ipswich Town and also throw in the inconsistency of Charlton it can look a little tricky but only 2 of the last 10 have beat us this season and that's Middlesbrough and Ipswich.
So can we do it?
Can we stage one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the Championship?
If we get there can we go on to win the Playoffs?
