6:10pm? Game still going on? You lot still wouldn't have scored!
-
We were far far better. You were distinctly average and offered little, 1 shot on target all match (daisy cutter in first half). Early on this thread we got accused of being average, wonder what that makes you lot based on that performance.
-
The only people that worry about size are those with something to worry about.
-
That cup game again, we had a youth team keeper in net. Top of the league, score for fun, leagues top scorer, I look forward to tomorrow.
-
The level your playing at doesn't restrict the level of performance. An average side doesn't find themselves top of the league in March. You guys really do place emphasis on beating us twice this season don't you? First game of season, new team and our reserves in the cup.

Average? Based on what?
-
I've not been to many away games this season - so haven't seen you lot or Bradford first hand yet. However, our performances have been top drawer - and we are getting stronger. I know we only drew with Scunthorpe but we looked on a different level. What I will predict is that Scunthorpe will not make the top two, and wont get through the POs. They look like a side that has been sussed out, and there was no confidence there. The POs are a complete lottery - the form team going into them usually does the business, regardless of finishing position. You lot seem to have a bit of a knack of grinding out results, and in this division at this stage will put you in good stead. I anxiously believe this may be our year - whether 2nd or Champions. Don't care who joins us in all honesty, after 6 years here you'd feel the same!

Stability. Clubs who get promoted, clubs who yo-yo between divisions, all have a degree of stability. We've not had it - trimming wage bills, selling players, changing managers, changing managers with different philosophies - doesn't provide any foundations on which to be successful. CW has come in and addressed all that. We have a board who we barely hear from now, we have a unified playing squad, a proper wage structure, CW is allowed to pull all the strings - you get the feeling the tea lady wouldn't be able to change the brand of biscuits without his approval. We finally have solid foundations, stability and structure. All down to CW. Ps. Nigel Adkins just turned out to be an awful manager.

David Wheater thinks we'll win it; “We need to keep the pressure on. Sheffield United look as if they are probably going to win it because they have got a top striker who’s been banging in goals all season. He’s got 20-plus now.

In our first season down here, whilst we were second, we were however 5 points clear of third with 2 games in hand and only 9/10 games left of the season. Nothing is ever straight forward with SUFC. Not one fan is confident, we cant be until we're mathematically assured of promotion, anxious excitement is about all we can muster.

I'll go; Sheffield United 1 v 1 Bolton
-
They started building the bypass from the Sheffield end, but has never, and in my opinion will never, get sorted. I live in Hadfield, 2 minutes from Glossop, I still work in Sheffield - takes me 45/50 minutes in a morning to the centre of Sheffield. Nice quiet run. I pity anyone driving to Manchester though - that's horrific. And I've just landed a job there from May, but will be using the train.

Down Mottram hill, right at the Gun Inn, left at the mini roundabout, right at the Pear Tree boozer. Follow that road for 2 miles, turn right and it brings you out at the start of the snake. All Glossop traffic avoided. Visiting Blade - your trusty sat nav.

I'm one of the unlucky ones who moved there...

We're never happy with a draw - we'll be going for it right up until the final whistle, one of our traits. Our wing backs are often in the 6 yard box in the last few minutes - we throw everything forward until the last.
-
Snake - definitely. Take the Glossop hit, the Snake drops you in the city centre and on the right side of the city for the ground/parking.

Win, lose or draw, thanks to the ale, its not uncommon for me to go home wondering whats happened!
-
Thing is we're both right - but neither of us can constitute for neanderthal idiots looking for a fight - and unfortunately every club has them. Hope everything goes off without any incidents and we're talking about a cracking match, which the atmosphere will deserve.

Common Room. Have to walk up some steps to the entrance? -
Who is this 'Sheffield' you speak of? Presume you mean Sheffield United? There have been errors all round - us requesting tickets back so close to the match, BWFC agreeing to it, fans making travel arrangements without having a match ticket. Not ideal. Been looking forward to this match for a few weeks now, it will shape our run in - win and we have a bit of freedom, draw, as you were, lose and we are firmly back under pressure. Just hope I can come back on here after the match and only have the football to talk about.
-
People who buy tickets in the opposition stands know full well they are creating a potential flash point, regardless of which idiots start the trouble.
-
Rutland is excellent, proper beer and proper food. The Globe is good - they will have the early kick off on TV there too - just happens to be Leeds v Them Lot. I have no advice on who you should cheer for...

The Howard is bang outside the station so it usually, by default, ends up being a designated away fans pub. Like Sanchez says, nothing special, but very convenient both pre and post game. -
Do you not worry about about any trouble kicking off? Whether you instigate it or not. What happens if you end up being sat to a family with kids - trouble kicks off and they get caught up in it. Not right is it. I understand the frustration at being unable to get tickets etc, but think people should use their heads sometimes.

Not sure about the parking reservation but the bar is open from early to guests and non-guests. Give them a call re parking, sure it'll be fine.
