  1. Throw ins continue to frustrate, couple of times we could have got a quick ball back in play if someone ran in to the space. But no, wait, and then still no one moves, it is crazy

  2. Need more creativity in the middle, George off for Paris at HT, Vic been doing OK, Collins not in it much but both starved of any real chances, leave them on for 10-15 minutes though before Bod on

Like US awards shows or sports presentations - "First of all I'd like to thank God blah, blah, fucking blah....".

Not interested in your need for a crutch/belief in fairy tales. No problem with you having this need. Just keep it to yourself. I don't need to see or hear it. If I want a sermon I'll go to the local peddler of such.

Belief in fairy tales has caused too many atrocities so jam it.

Maybe you should practice what you preach some times.

Why do they need to? Another form of virtue signalling, that's all.

You write lots of drivel, admittedly it is not virtue that you signal,  but why do you need to?

People expressing things that they believe in and has a large impact in their lives, crazy. The issue is we now see it more readily.

A good measured post with valid comments, and yes I wish we could claim compensation for sleep loss!

But on your last point, anyone that wants changes, pragmatism, plans B, C, D - and some leaders (preferably with some bite/physicality) - its one or t'other, we either want IE to stay and continue or we want the points you mention, we can't have both.

IE isn't going to change, rightly or wrongly.  I'm not talking about exceptional circumstances like Northampton in response to a sending off - its about adapting tactics to certain opposition or just to take them by surprise occasionally, or to adapt to who's available in our squad, maybe not always having 5 defenders/wingbacks etc when circumstances dictate.

I dont think it is one or the other, he has changed in his time with us, very slowly, but he has. The different plans will show the pragmatism, picking the right tactic to suit the challenge in front at that time and maybe sacrificing some of the 'style'. Maybe I am asking too much with some leaders on the pitch as well, but it could be as simple as a change of captain, as Santos just isn't the man to drag them out of the shit.

    Chances I can remember are

    1. Toal 30 yarder

    2. Toal free header

    3. Lofted ball to Maghoma in first half on right hand side. Shot blocked from 7 yards.

    4. Ogbeta shooting near post in second half when he should’ve crossed it for Victor

    5. one or two low crosses that got blocked. On another day would’ve fallen to one of our players but didn’t.

    6. Sheehan free kick that went just wide

so we did have chances to score but absolutely nothing for Victor or Collins and nothing for JDB and Jerome when they came on. And only 2 of those were from open play

7 Sheehan Freekick straight at keeper

For 4, I think it was a badly miss hit  cross.

  7. Emotions are high, frustration and dissapointment cloud even the most determined Evatt supporters.

I still back him, and don't want to see him gone regardless of what happens for the rest of this season. I want my club to play, possession based football, to pass and control the play, and we are so tantalisingly close to it. We see glimpses, although admittedly not enough currently, and it is exciting,  expansive football. We dominated large parts of the game, whilst nervous I enjoyed the first half, and 10-15 minutes of the second. We had chances, but it should have been more.

What really angered me though was the response to their goal, a poor defensive display and all too easy for them to score their first meaningful attack. But afterwards we slowed further, we played it mostly in our half. People can claim they do or don't hate Wigan,  or they are not our rivals, it doesn't really matter, after a 4-0 humiliation at home that's all that matters and I wanted to beat them so badly. The players should also want to make up for that, and the response was lazy, predictable and cowardly.

Whilst I will repeat, I don't want him gone, changes do need to be made, we need pragmatism and a solid plan B, C and D, and we need some true leaders out there on the pitch as currently we don't have any.

Anyway thanks BWFC for a terrible night's sleep, I don't know why it matters so much.

Played well until their goal. Afterwards, we didn't look like scoring at all. I'm all for sticking to our style of play but last ten minutes a goal down we're not going to score passing it around the half way line

That's what has me so angry, we were dominant and as frustrating as the lack of chances was, we were still in control. But after we went 1 down, they just caved in, and that is unforgiveable
