Awful lineup

Check out Plymouth’s remaining fixtures . There’s absolutely NO WAY they aren’t getting in the playoffs !

It’s the lack of ball winning I find depressing . However , I’m going to be charitable , some of those challenges were borderline to say the least . We did sing about the ref today and I think he did need to clamp down and he didn’t . No excuses for defeat however

Let’s worry about the downside tomorrow . We’ve all now got an unexpected evening to fully enjoy . Great comeback and although they fully deserved their 2 goal lead until 85 minutes and could have buried us … they decided to play the dark arts card and waste as much time as possible . Tactics like this should never prevail and just deserts were well and truly served😊😊

2 takeaways . 1. we just can’t finish teams off and everybody knows they only have to stick 7 defenders in the 6 yard box. And we are screwed. 2. We have nothing to play for except hanging on to the top 6 . It’s not proactive in any way only about hanging on

I’ve been resigned to playoffs since last Saturday when Lincoln got our hopes up by being a goal down at Plymouth then beat them resoundingly whilst we struggled to get over the line . We all feel the same … even Schumacher just said it .. ‘ they are a great team (at what they do) ‘ nobody can bring themselves to to say they are ‘ a great team’ then just leave it at that , myself included. We had it under Parkinson …. ‘ Bolton will probably go up but I couldn’t watch that every week ‘ It is frustrating when you are trying to create something decent to watch … and we have had some exciting moments this season … but very frustrating to see a Stevenage Lincoln or Wrexham succeed or at least be our equivalent using the Parky style which I thought we had left behind . There were plenty of complaints from our fans back then . I don’t want to have to revisit it but maybe we will have to to get out of this league .

It’s about being realistic and not optimistic . It’s not about glass being half full either. fact is they have won every game bar 1 which they drew since the beginning of December. They are also winning games comfortably , none of this scraping result like us . They are effectively 10 points clear and a loss to them will just be too larger gap to catch up with only 15 games less . Everyone knows that you can’t catch up a point a game which is what we would have to do if we lose . it’s win or bust guys . Game over if we lose , … and don’t give me the ‘ we’re still on the playoffs ‘ stuff . That just means league 1 again .
