Skysports.com can reveal Bolton have joined the chase for Portsmouth midfielder Amdy Faye.
Faye has been told he can leave Portsmouth after being made available for transfer by chairman Milan Mandaric.
Faye's future seems set to be resolved during this month's transfer window and a number of clubs have expressed an interest in the Senegal international.
Portsmouth have admitted that Faye could be on his way soon with the likes of Birmingham and Middlesbrough believed to be keen on his signature.
Bolton have now declared an interest in the player with Trotters boss Sam Allardyce admitting he is a big fan of the midfielder.
"He is a player I am very interested in," Allardyce told skysports.com.
"I have spoken to my chairman about doing a deal and we will take it from there."
Is this fella any good as I imagine we'll shelling out dosh for a change? Would have thought at least ??2m??
