There's nothing like a quote taken out of context, is there? Any thing to prove a point, eh?

 

Speed said it didn't look like a penalty after watching it again, as did Allardyce, Sky Sports, the whole world and his dog etc etc.

 

Speed also went on to say that it was a surprise because Diouf normally gets nothing despite being fouled regularly and that sometimes these things happen in football and they tend to balance themselves out.

but the media will make capital out of speeds comments

He didn't say whether it was or it wasn't.

He didn't say whethewr he thought it was or it wasn't.

He was asked a question and being a polite boy, he answered like he was brought up to do. So, he answered as honestly as possible whilst remaining non-committal. His comment were no worse than Allardyce's but nobody's slagging Sam off.
