November 4, 200520 yr For all the stato's: Has there ever been a Premiership match that was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch? Have no idea myself, but cant see the pitch recovering in time for the Spurs match if this weather continues
November 4, 200520 yr Heres 2 for you. The heavy rain forced several football matches to be postponed and the abandonment of three race meetings. Two Premiership games in London ??? Fulham's against West Bromwich Albion at Loftus Road and Charlton Athletic v West Ham United at The Valley ??? were the most high-profile games to be called off after failing pitch inspections. http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/ch...ticle124330.ece
November 4, 200520 yr There is no way in a million years that the Spurs game will be postponed. Our groundsmen are amongst the best in the land I will be on the town hall steps at 8.00pm sharp on monday night if I'm wrong.

I couldnt distinguish between a shit groundsman and one of the best so i will take your word for it. If the same groundsman is in charge of Moss Bank Park, i will see you on Monday night.

November 5, 200520 yr it wont be called off we have a supper sopper like they have for cricket the rain will be less on monday and they will have got the pitch playable. its important for the club that we play because of the money involved for being a sky match. woudent worred yet just wait and see what the weather is like monday.
November 5, 200520 yr I was thinking about that after the match. Read on friday that the pitch was partially drained at half time. Dunno what trickery the groundsmen have going on, but fair dues to them.
November 5, 200520 yr Wouldn't mind it being Thursday - that'd mean I wouldn't have to watch it in a pub on SKY surrounded by a load of southern gary nevilles
