It all depends whether the team can sell out there allocation.

the only teams who have ever had the whole south stand as far as i recall are Preston and Burnley, and both sold out, these were the first two home games of the 99/2000 season, and both had just been promoted to div 1, neither had been to the reebok before

So we'll go off the figure 25800. To me only two teams have sold out the entire away allocation. Wigan & Liverpool. Liverpool was a sell out and Wigan was 25,800ish. For a local derby that is dismal. But a lot of teams this season have only taken a 1900 allocation off us and teams like Villa, Pompey etc have struggled to even sell that. Straight away that leaves 900 empty seats. That takes it to 26700 (surely you are allowed this many empty seats). To me thats quite good. There are a lot of folk who have season tickets and don't turn up. For example there is a seat next to me that has been empty all season yet when my mate tried to get this as his season ticket seat, they said it's already taken.

Just looking at the attendances shown by the programme it is obvious (unless the away team didn't bring any fans) that notlob have hardly ever sold out this season.

 

Yet their fans continually put their shite numbers in the FA Cup down to the fact that the Premier League is their priority!

I cant offer any excuses, it was a poor showing by both teams (Blackburn had 1,000 there).

Still, at least 11,000 more home fans bothered to turn up than yesterday.

Yeh I know, was only said tongue in cheek. As everyone has said our support is lacking for Cup games.

First of all you have to recognise that we were only playing a little team (west sham) which obviously wasn't a very attractive fixture for us.

 

Secondly, west sham were playing against a much bigger team (BWFC) which was obviously a very attractive fixture for you.

 

Thirdly, west sham have only just been promoted from the championship (a division the mighty BWFC have NEVER been in!) & therefore you are still on honeymoon (albeit amazingly extended). You are getting more fans, home & away, because of the novelty factor & because you are making the most of visiting the top teams whilst you can, very similar to Wigan.

 

Finally, how many points do you get for a league win when there are 'x' thousand fans watching you?

 

 

 

I'll hazard a guess: ........ it's the same as us!, & everyone else!, whether there is 15,000 or 70,000 fans watching.

 

So you see, it doesn't f'ing matter how many fans are there, & to constantly carp on about the importance of it merely shows you up for what you are... very insecure about the future success & status of your club..... & who can blame you for that?!

the oversized attendance Vs leicster was down to the lag of segregation in the south stand. That bit of netting up the middle was removed and both sets of fans sold out!

 

Our attendance at home in the league has been pretty good and the home ends have been full nigh on every week!

The away ends on the other hand have only been full once and that was liverpool! there were even gaps when wiggin played their biggest game of the season a few weeks back!

This is our 40th season in the top flight in the past 48 years. How many seasons have you managed in the top flight during that time period?

 

And you seem to forget that we spent 10 straight seasons in the prem (1993-2003), something you havent managed yet. Our home & away attendances never dwindled during that period.
