Bolton Sign Trevor Sinclair On A Free

Will this be a headline in a few weeks, he's local, shite and fits the age profile for Bolton at 34!

Former England winger Trevor Sinclair will leave Eastlands this summer after fulfilling his "boyhood dream" of playing for Manchester City.

The 34-year-old joined his boyhood idols from West Ham in 2003 but has been dogged by injuries throughout his time at Eastlands.

"After sitting down to discuss my situation this week with the manager, we have agreed I will not be staying at City once the season ends," Sinclair told the club's website.

"I have enjoyed my time at City enormously and have fulfilled my boyhood dream of playing for the club I have always supported."

Despite his advancing years, Sinclair insists he still has plenty to offer and has not given up hope of being picked up by another Premiership club.

"I have not played as much as I would have liked recently and I am excited by the thought of a new challenge which will give me the opportunity to play more regularly," he said.

"I feel I can continue to play in the Premier League for at least another couple of years, if not longer."

A bloody good player....if he plays under a manager who can motivate him. Otherwise he puts on 2 stone (which goes on his arse) and is crap.

Without entering the debate on how good he is, 4-4-2?

Never. If this happens I'll rip up my imaginary season ticket.

Pompey?

Tricky Trevor is off to USA.

By all accounts he's a top bloke too...

We need depth in our squad, IMO would be a decent squad player.

2 years ago, yes... but not at 34!

Memory could be tricking me but didn't he score from virtually the half way line in the Lancashire Cup for Blackpool a few years back. I've bored loads of people saying it was the best goal I've ever seen, still rising when it hit the net but even my cousin who was there with me says I put it back 5 yards everytime I tell the story..

trevs overhead bicycle kick for qpr against barnsley was possibly the greatest goal i have ever seen.

in the words for alan partridge "back of the net"

I remember him looking sharp in a pre-season game at Burnden about 93-ish

No half way line goal though
