September 6, 200817 yr Good find there, Mixu. I wasn't really aware as to how poorly Value Scope had performed. I knew he wasn't doing too well at present, but 2007 was shit too!
September 6, 200817 yr Author Thats an excellent find,Mixu. Looks like the guy has too much time on his hands doing all that. For today I have done: All at Kempton 2-20 Weatherstaff (speedhorse) 5/1 3rd 3-25 Premio Loco (Value Scope) 11/4 first 4-30 Ethaara 3/1 first 5-00 Keenes Day 12/1 3rd Win on each and each way yankee. How much staked on the e/w yankee and what did it pay?
September 7, 200817 yr Author Only a 10p Each way one Traf (?2-20). It returned ?10-25. The bigger returns were on the 2 win singles that came up,both of which finished at much lower prices than I took.
September 7, 200817 yr Profit is profit, D. I backed Value Scope and Ethaara too. Ethaara was just too long at 3/1 not to have a bet. And I know of at least one other poster on here who had the same two horses, because we both agreed in a prior conversation that they would be a good double.

After-eventing on losers is totally acceptable! it's the wise-asses who claim to have had great but unlikely wins we don't like after-timing.
September 27, 200817 yr Ascot 3.40 (1/4 odds 1,2,3,4) Relative Order: suggested bet - 2 points EW Target Price 16/1 (generally available) Golden Desert: suggested bet - 2 points EW Target Price 33/1 (Hills, Bet Fred)
September 27, 200817 yr Ascot 3.40 (1/4 odds 1,2,3,4)Relative Order: suggested bet - 2 points EW Target Price 16/1 (generally available) Golden Desert: suggested bet - 2 points EW Target Price 33/1 (Hills, Bet Fred) At 8.30 am: The 16/1 has gone for Relative Order: current best price is 12/1. Golden Desert is now 33/1 at Hills only: it's gone at Betfred.
September 27, 200817 yr The 16/1 has gone, because it's one of Pricewise (Racing Post) selections and he's bang in form. Winners at 11/1, 8/1, 7/2 and 28/1 from his last 4 weeks. Today he tips: Orizaba 1 pt 4-1 2.30 Generally still available at 4/1 Relative Order 1 pt 16-1 3.40 Generally now back at 16/1 Furnace 1 pt 16-1 3.40 Generally still available at 16/1 29 runners in the 3.40 is another lottery: but relative order does seem too long at 16/1. Course and distance winner last season. 2 wins over the same trip at Newmarket this season: has been improving all year. Should go well.

October 4, 200817 yr Sat 4th Oct Value Scope 2pts e/w on both of: Prince Kalamoun @ 10/1 and Virtual @ 20/1 Pricewise Military Power @ 18/1 and Swop @ 10/1 in the same race. He also goes with Kasbah Bliss in the 2.55 at Longchamp @ 9/2. (It's against Yeats at 1/2!)
October 4, 200817 yr He also goes with Kasbah Bliss in the 2.55 at Longchamp @ 9/2. (It's against Yeats at 1/2!) At those odds, it might be better to lay Yeats, as opposed to backing Kasbah Bliss surely
October 4, 200817 yr At those odds, it might be better to lay Yeats, as opposed to backing Kasbah Bliss surely AS I see it, to make a ?90 profit you would need to back Kasbah Bliss with ?20...exposure ?20. To lay Yeats for a ?90 profit you would need to Lay ?180.....exposure ?180. Laying Yeats at those odds would only be worthwhile if there were a few more prospects in the field "likely" to beat Yeats. edit: Laying Yeats would leave you exposed to the tune of ?45. (Being 1/2 and not 2/1 ) My mistake. Should spend a bit more time reading properly. Edited October 4, 200817 yr by Mixu
October 4, 200817 yr At those odds, it might be better to lay Yeats, as opposed to backing Kasbah Bliss surely both horses unplaced, it was won by Bannaby @ 16/1
