we drew 1-1 with guthrie hitting a gerrardesque volley in the last minute - i've seen him twice now, and he looked a decent player tonight - lots of effort and can pass

While I'm not enthused ny his signing, this is a desperately needed quality at the moment, and amazing as it is, he will probably be the best man we can put out in the back four at present anyway, so get him in LSL, your job depends on it!

Gerrard comparisons are inevitable from the Liverpool fans. Sadly with a young lad of his potential we may have to see an awful lot of disappointing displays till his consistency is anything like the Liverpool legend. Just when he's getting to be an important player for us at the end of this season we'll have to give him back.

 

Sadly I fear this loan arrangement will be of more use to Liverpool than us
