Waiting at that station after the game, for what seems like an eternity is awful.

 

The stadium is always empty for midweekers, and the atmosphere is even worse than weekend games.

i recall the league cup game against gillingham the year we got to cardiff

 

i think the crowd was about 4,000, no train for about an hour after the game and it was pissing it down - before they 'improved' horwich parkway aswell

i like night matches, cold evenings- breath on the air, colder pint, lights blaring, shirts gleaming, small boys- "daddy daddy the train is coming", harvester three deep, arrogant staff, Bradshawgate quieter than a Friday, but an equal amount of slappers

Only problem I have with night matches is the cold and the rush to get there from work. Other than that doesnt really bother me

They are stale night games for the cups barring zenit obviously, that was immense!

 

Think its because people arent on the piss all day like a weekend game, working before and in the morning isnt helping the cause either. However, with the euro home games i just savour the fact were in europe and not playing bury like a few year back!
