Aris Players Miss Bolton Trip Due To Visa Debacle

 

Serb Vladan Ivic and Albania international Kristi Vangjeli were astonishingly left out of the Aris squad for the trip to Bolton as they would not be allowed to enter Britain!

 

 

 

The Thessaloniki side?s coach Dusko Bajevic had initially included the two internationals into his 20-man party for Thursday?s crucial UEFA Cup tie with the Wanderers. However, just before flying off to England it was revealed that neither of them had the necessary visa and they were therefore excluded.

 

Their absence is arguably a blow, since Ivic, a former Partizan and AEK man, is his side?s playmaker and Vangjeli provides credible cover in a number of defensive positions.

Saw that yesterday. Hopefully they will be out of sorts and we will give them a good old-fashioned spanking to give us even more confidence going into the Liverpool match (as if beating the Munichs isn't enough )

 

Looking at the current UEFA standings it looks like a must win if we are to proceed through to the next stage. Looks as though our game next Thursday could be the nail in Red Star's coffin though.
