I agree, the Portugese are just Gypos with a bit of land - if you get then chance to go, don't! - I have been several times with work in the last few years, and not once have I been tempted to spend any of my own free time there.

 

Never had a bad stay on the Portugese algarve

 

Lots of nice beaches

 

Good food - fresh fish etc

 

Bars not too bad

 

Golf, watersports :blink: in abundance

 

What's not to like?

I've only been to Portugal once but loved it. I'd definitely go again.

 

(My claim to fame is being sick on Louis Figo's shoes while I was there!)
