Eh? Al-Habsi winning?

Short memories some of you f**kers.

Its a longer term memory you need to remember Jussi at his best.

He has been on a slow down hill slide from his peak for 18 months now.

Jussi is still a very good keeper but Al Habsi is better.

Exactly.

As much as I don't like him, has to be Jussi.

Sorry folks, he's Bolton's Number 1.

Habsi will have his chance again, and when it comes, I hope he does as good a job as he did this time.

Al-Habsi is a great shot-stopper but his fundamentals (position, crossing, etc) need work. He's got all the attributes to become a top class keeper though, especially with Jussi and Fred Barber to work with - another year and he'll be number 1... but has to be Jussi for me to start this season.

At least we (and Jussi) know that if he doesn't perform, there's someone ready to take the gloves - perhaps the kick up the arse he's needed

Jussi is 33...hardly an old man for a keeper. He didn't have his best season last time round, but some of you think Ali is a better keeper than Cech ::::lol::::

Football fans and their legendary short memories, eh....

"AN Other"

The famed agent Peter Harrison (who many on here say no longer represents Ali!!!) reckons his client has not even received a new contract offer yet:

Agent fires Trotters warning

20080715 13:09

Ali Al-Habsi's agent has warned Bolton that the goalkeeper could still leave the club unless he is offered a new deal.

The Oman international has just one year remaining on his current contract but, according to his agent, Peter Harrison, Wanderers have yet to offer him a new one.

Al-Habsi has recently spoken out about how happy he is at the Reebok Stadium but Harrison is still touting him for a move elsewhere, with a host of clubs thought to be keen.

"Ali helped to save Bolton from relegation. He only has a year left on his contract, but we have had no offer of a new deal from Bolton," revealed Harrison.

"Galatasaray are very interested in Ali and he could sign a pre-contract with them in January - and that's a fact. West Brom and Ipswich are also interested.''

Do you reckon Mr Harrison doesn't realise that Al Habsi's new representitive has the contract offer or have Bolton not offered him one?

My thoughts are if Al Habsi or in fact any PLAYER is wanting to leave the club then let them go!

No player is bigger than the football club itself, nor manager or chairman for that matter

if they dont want to be here fuckum

It's not that he wants to leave according to the article it's just that he isn't being allowed to stay due to lack of a new contract.

So i gather Adam

I was speaking about any player in general

Fair enough, it just seemed slightly irrelevant in context.

Either way if (and this is a BIG if) Peter Harrison is to be believed, Bolton have not even offered Al Habsi a new contract.

I hope he doesn't go....I've seen him play less than 15 times but he's the bestest keeper in the world ever...
