He's probably still on around ?50K per week though, so it's not all bad for him. I think he knew when he went to Chelsea he was never going to play that often (did he really think he could shift John Terry & Carvalho?) - methinks, like Sidwell, it was all about the money. If he had really wanted to play every week, then he would have gone to Newcastle. Not bad really, you "endure" a season on the bench, but then guarantee yourself massive wages for the forseeable future

July 31, 200817 yr Are they not brothers/lovers DiddleDee and BeeDee? Ben Haim was a solid player but he did make some spectacular cock-ups. The one for me was the home game against Reading two years ago when we got tonked 3-1. For one of their goals, he made a mistake and the Reading player was past him. Did he try and get up? No, he pretended that he had been fouled allowing their player a nice clear run on goal. BUT he was great for us in the main and i was sorry to see him go. Cahill is better and O'Brien makes less cock ups.
July 31, 200817 yr Award for the most irrelevant post goes to... The relevance was pointing out he's a rich man whatever. It's futile to laugh at a multi-millionaire. Plus looking at it neutrally, it's still a probable step-up from here.

Couldnt care less about how much money he earns. Its got nothing to do with anything. It may well be a step up from here, but it's a massive step down from Chelsea. That was the point.
July 31, 200817 yr Author Are they not brothers/lovers DiddleDee and BeeDee? Whilst I agree there seem to be quite a few 'Lovers' on this site, I sir, am certainly not one of them, as I am not even able to see the 'Special' board! Edited July 31, 200817 yr by BeeDee
July 31, 200817 yr Are they not brothers/lovers DiddleDee and BeeDee? just need the other 2 brothers to complete the set, tweedle dee and tweedle dum.

July 31, 200817 yr It may well be a step up from here, but it's a massive step down from Chelsea. That was the point. If he plays 40 games a season rather than 20, then it's debatable.

That was the point. Aaah, but he left Bolton to go to a bigger club, which he has done, albeit via Chelsea. It's not like he's in the wilderness, he'll b eplaying European football for a club that has ideas of competing for a top 6 place (note: I have put "ideas"). He's probably quite pleased with himself all in all
