Did Nolan miss or did Given save???

 

Exactly, a penalty save is mostly luck, Nolan couldn't have done much more, he hit it well, kept it low and put it relitavely close to the corner. The fact that Given decided to dive that was was pure luck on his part, and he therefore was in the right place to save it. If he had dived the other way then we wouldn't be having this debate.

 

If he had tw*tted it over the bar then fair enough, but he didn't, it was as much a very good save as it was his fault.

 

For the record I agree that Elmander would have taken it if he was on the pitch.

 

p.s Get off the lads' back. I've said it many times before, he is our captain and is Bolton through and through. Without him we are a much worse team and would probably now be in the Championship.

Is that fact that we missed a penalty causing all this or the fact that it was Nolan that missed it? Would we be having the same debate had Elmander missed it?

no i am a friend of nolan so you are barking up the wrong tree, and yes if it was elmander i would be, cant afford to miss em whoever it is, it costs you dear as you saw on sat.
