I agree with Cas. Although I suspect for a few different reasons.

 

Once Elmander went off there was nobody really with a better case to take it. Taylor, although having plenty of efforts on goal, seems to lack composure at the moment of shooting.

 

Also we need penalty candidates to be 'nailed on' to start. Like it or not, Nolan will start most games, whereas Taylor will be dropped midway through the season once Megson realises he's rubbish ;o)

i questioned why taylor wasn't taking the penalty at the time.

 

I'm happy for nolan to take the pens but i persoanlly would prefer Taylor

I do think we should just pick a guy and stick with him, Taylor has a good record of taking pens, but i'd bet on Nolan or Elmander knocking them in 9/10 aswell.

In the paper today it says everyone else bottled it so the Captain stepped up.

 

I'd have money on Elmander taking the next one though.

I know what you're getting at, HR. And you're bang on.

 

It's just another excuse for folk to get on Nolan's back IMO. Players sometimes miss penalties: shit happens.
