I've met Baz loads of times and he's a top lad but he's a mad Sunderland fan. I think people took to him immediately so not sure why he thinks otherwise

 

Stranglers are much better as a 4 piece and he's wrote a great deal of the songs over the last couple of albums which thankfully, means that JJ can't write another pile of shite album on his own like he did with the Coup de Grace offering.

 

Also, I think most people thought he was a top replacement for John Ellis who got a bit confused, he thought he should be playing twiddly bits on his guitar
