said it myself in the car on way home yesterday. thought he had a great game apart from his distribution. which I know sounds daft - but he did get in some great challenges and worked his socks off.

He needs someone with a bit of skill who he can pass it to. Perhaps a campo type player who's distribution is better than Muamba's.

thought he was immense. definately his kind of game, was worried he was going to get a second yellow for a while though.

there is a feature on the SSN website where it shows this seasons OPTA stats for things like goalkeeping saves, passing, shooting, fouling etc. Muamba is top of the stats for tackling with 56 tackles and an 82% success rate. He was brought in by Megson to break up the opposition play and protect the back 4 which is what he is doing. He wasn't brought in to do great campo-esque passes of score 10+ goals from midfield a season. That is supposedly Nolans job.

 

Other points on the OPTA stats:

 

Jussi is 4th for goalkeepers with 46 saves and a saves/shots ratio of 78%

Davies has the most fouls but there are "dirtier" players than him in Fellaini and Cattermole

We have the 2nd worst shot accuracy in the prem with 37% (just 1% ahead of wigan) - i think Muamba might be responsible for that with his 25 yard+ efforts neve going on target

in that dirty dozen thing in the notw, he had committed more fouls than the other 11, but had less cards than any of the other 11
