If funds are thin on the ground for Megson can you really blame Eddie for not giving him a wod of cash for a striker. He knows as well as us that megson's days are numbered and maybe while Gary is frantically trying to find suitable signings Garty and Eddie are trying to find a new signing of their own. The chances of them finding a decent replacement manager will be assisted by the promise of some decent funds to spend. Which may explain why we might not sign either a creative midfielder or a striker before Monday. Also Megsons attempt to buy an expensive striker have not worked out to well for him in the past, Elmander has been far from prolific and has fallen well short of the price we paid for him. I still think Elmander could come good given the right partner up front. But as lone striker or paired with David has proved fruitless.

Whats Bobby Taylor up to these days? Could be worth a punt!
