October 20, 200916 yr Snow coverd pitch, floodlights on and Peter Reid steams down towards George Wood the Everton 'keeper....... ouch!
October 20, 200916 yr The snowed off game is one of my most vivid earlier memories watching Bolton - I remember being tickled pink to see in the paper the next day that the crowd was 33k - of course the records don't show that now, they only show the "replay" with its 27k. All together now: "We hate George Wood and we hate George Wood..."
October 20, 200916 yr Hadn't realised Colin todd was playing for them on that day. Dad got his wallet pinched on way back to car after Laegue cup semi 1st leg Praying for a floodlight failure after being showered with sparks from the Embankment floodlights. Seem to recall I was stood on the Burnden Terrace half of the Embankment that night but not totally convinced. Any ideas?
October 21, 200916 yr I remember being tickled pink to see in the paper the next day that the crowd was 33k - of course the records don't show that now, they only show the "replay" with its 27k. I read somewhere official that the gate was over 37,000.Would have been the biggest that season.
