May 17, 200422 yr no i wunt say that, coz he has done very well over the season, and a big reason why we are here! but just cant help thinking that he could be so much better! pedersen gets stick coz he dunt score the goals but his goals per game ratio is better than davies and he works almost as hard, except davies sticks a foot in and bullies defenders... sam has only given him a one year extension to his contract, so i cant help thinking davies is only a temporary placement in the team, before we find sommit better. UNLESS of course, he starts to find the back of the net MUCH more often...

UNLESS of course, he starts to find the back of the net MUCH more often... you must be fishing. in case you are not..........no you must be..........can not resist....arrrrrgh you maybe right in your views but given kd has won virtually every player of the year award you are on your own. as well as the fans awards he won players player of the year, now i would like to think the likes of campo,j-j,youri etc etc know what they are talking about. i am glad you are at least using henric as an example of a scapegoat, i would have loved to have seen the posts on here if henric had missed the chances kd missed on saturday, 2 of which were set up by the goal machine, but missing those does not make him a bad player. His overall contribution to the team is awesome. the more i think about this you must be fishing.
May 17, 200422 yr no, ya mis-understanding me... there are mot many other players in the league i would rather have leading the line than big kev! his power and strength, even pace is superb, he like a fookin steam train, but never seem to look confident in front of the 2 white sticks... a striker is paid to score goals... i just think he can/must do better...
May 17, 200422 yr Homer I disagree with you, he has surpassed all expectations you right he has surpassed ALL expectations by just about everyone. hence multiple player of the year awards... but i bet you a quid, he wont win any player of the year awards next season for the same performance?
May 17, 200422 yr Davies has been great this season. As for what we'll think next season, well the past doesnt seem to count for much. people have forgotton about the perfomances of jay jay and campo last season. football's all about the here and now really.
May 17, 200422 yr homo does have a point folk rave about davies cos hes the new boy theres got to be goals to go with all the hard work i'll be honest...pre his late season surge, i was beginning to lose faith with him in the team not his fault, but he did so well at what he does, we played more and more long ball stuff so we change all the system to accomodate him, which means he just has to score a few by the end of the season, hes done well, but as he is now id swap him for solksjaer tomorrow, and i think thats the level we should be aiming for and it has to be said..his finishing on saturday was woeful....VDS is a good goalie though. ps but for nolans unexpected and unreasonable high goal scoring, we'd have probably gone down then davies would have been looked on differently this isn't having a go, just being honest..hopefully next year, he'll have improved his finishing, and we'll have an outstanding player in our team
May 17, 200422 yr Agreed there Casino- but I remember a quote from him earlier in the season. He basically stated he'd like more chances. Sat. he got them, but generally our style means he doesn't get lots. Sam knows his qualities and has said he wants a 20 goal per season man. Probably to play alongside, not instead of. Now OGS+Davies+another might be worthwhile!
