Olympic Tickets

Featured Replies

How come it was sold out weeks ago and millions didn't get tickets... then all of a sudden they find more to flog out of the blue. where did they come from? This has probably been explained here before and on the news but I haven't caught it.

I always thought I'd be quite excited if the Olympics came to Britain and would go and watch anything from the 100metres to synchronised swimming but I've absolutely no interest at in it. I couldn't care less.

The way it worked mate, was everyone needed to register before a date in April, select the amount of tickets you wanted and for what events and enter the card details you were going to pay with. Then randomly some tickets were radomly allocated, you couldve ordered say 5 for football three for athletics 2 for equestrian but when the ballot took place some folk got all the tickets they wanted some got just a few of what they requested, in my case I got 4 for the football.

This next ballot was for all those who got nothing but registered first time around.

There is another ballot in July for folk like me who got them first time around I can have a go at getting anything remaining

...or just apply for almost seven times the amount of tickets you actually wanted and then start panicking when you actually have to pay for them like Mr. Greedy Cunt:

exactly! In some cases folk got what they wanted, one fella IIRC applied for 100metre final tickets only and got them. they will be fooking gold dust!

You could go on the german and french ticket websites and buy direct the events you wanted rather than a ballot system.

Me and our Doris made three ticket applications and two were successful.

So that's alright then. :good:
