I applied for opening n closing ceremonies only the cheap seats they can fuck off at 1500 a pop

Didn't put on any tickets in the end seeing as the ticketing scheme was a sham.

Some dopy bint wrote in to the beeb complaining she was on the site from 9.30 to 11.30 last night and couldn't process her application. Er, why didn't you try for the previous MONTH you soppy mare! It's not as if it's come as a complete surprise considering we've known about it for FUCKING YEARS!!!!!

I have to say I have no love for the event either.

I can honestly say I don't give a shit.

 

I used to like it when I was a kid and their were athletes and rivalries.

 

Lewis v Johnson v Christie

Coe v Cram v Ovett

Decker v Budd

 

 

Then there were the likes of Ed Moses and more lately Michael Johnson.

 

The ONLY athlete I now know of is Usain Bolt.

 

So, if any tickets for the 100m finals are going FOR FREE then I'd have em, but I wouldn't fork out any money for them.

 

And I certainly wouldn't part with any of my hard earned cash (Hmm, he says as he types away whilst supposed to be working) to watch some dicks clay pigeon shooting.

Saw a package whilst I was at the travel agents one night in london for the boxing event ?96 is that really good or am I missing something?

Whch boxing event is it though? I suppose if it were the day of the final bouts it might be okay, but would you really want to watch the opening bouts? Some kid from Botswana versus some kid from Fiji, neither of whom have ever worn boxing gloves??

I really couldn't be frigged with this stupid ticket bidding malarky and then rushing about when we get them to sort a hotel out so I have been a lazy sod and booked it through a Travel Agent instead - A night watching the boxing then athletics the day (both with decent seats) with 1 night accommodation at a decent hotel has cost ?350 each - I must be fucking mental!

Looks like everythings pretty much sold out. Only sports with tickets available are, Boxing, Football, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling Freestyle and Wrestling Greco-Roman. Wouldnt be suprised if the boxing sold out soon.

How come it was sold out weeks ago and millions didn't get tickets... then all of a sudden they find more to flog out of the blue. where did they come from? This has probably been explained here before and on the news but I haven't caught it.

 

I always thought I'd be quite excited if the Olympics came to Britain and would go and watch anything from the 100metres to synchronised swimming but I've absolutely no interest at in it. I couldn't care less.

None of those sports are being staged anywhere near the Olympic Park though. I think some people are in for a surprise when they turn up to find that the event for which they've booked tickets is being staged in Southend, or Lords Cricket ground, or in some god-forsaken part of Docklands.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if there are empty seats at events which are 'sold out' due to the way tickets were allocated in the first ballot. Some people applied for far more tickets than they actually wanted because they didn't think they'd get them all, but when the reality of turning up for the Women's shot put preliminary rounds on a wet Monday morning kicks in, they might give it a miss.
