My dads tv has broke & he's had some bloke come round to look at it & he's said the inverter has gone (aint got a clue what that is) Any way is it worth repairing or should he buy a new 1?

you can buy a brand spanker 32 hitachi for sub 300, so i'd not want to spend over a ton on what will be an inferior telly to the one you'd buy now
