I always thought it was, my wife (who teachs infants) says it's not.

 

Then I just heard a BBC local radio presenter say it twice this morning.

 

So is "shite" a swear word?

A swear word is defined as a word that would not get away with if said in front of you nan So no shitea swear word

I don't even like my 8 year old daughter saying "fart"

She's heard a few swear words in the playground, but she daren't use them at home.
