Shariaaiaiaia Law In The Uk?

Just saw a 4thoughtTV bit where a guy was suggesting that by introducing Sharia law, and thereby stoning adulterers etc, in the UK it would help build communities and improve morals.

Can't say i'm convinced but I would agree that we're a bit soft on certain areas of crime. Anyone who say beats up an OAP should be put in stocks on Bolton Town Hall until we've all had our fill!

Or how about stoning a Woman who allows herself to be raped, thus bringing shame on her family

How about if someone beats a 64 year old up? Will that be a different punishment?

That would be silly

Stoning the rapist is fair game though.

I think bumming the culprit to death is a bit strong.

 Damn really? Thought i'd just solved all our crime and punishment issues there!

Seriously though, stoning people in this day an age?

Get yourself to the middle east. Honestly.

No your allright ta! Does this kind of thing happen in many Islamic states then, the law I mean?

To be fair the guy speaking seemed fairly intelligent and gave some logical sounding arguments for it, but it all seems so out of touch with, well I wont say our culture, so let's say modern western cultural ideals.

I've seen a video of a real life stoning in some middle east country grim stuff.

Use Google to find a film clip from Death of a Princess. A British-made film/documentary based on the true story of a female member of Saudi Royalty who was beheaded for adultery.

Cheers, I could do with a giggle today;) Can you imagine if we did that over here, there'd hardly be anyone still alive over 50!

the video i saw is all over the net, buried up his neck rocks thrown at him the size of footballs

The Saudi's are at it all the time, they impose Sharia to its fullest extent. None of the western countries will say fuck all about it whilst they are still pumping out millions of barrells of Black Gold a day.

There is absolutely no logical argument for it. He was presumably a good orator, but obviously a bigotted freak.
