June 19, 20179 yr Many moons ago I trained to do it. We then bought a tester. Not cheap, but depending upon number of appliances and frequency of test it might be worth looking at sorting it out in house. Found out a post-doc had wired a plug with live and neutral the wrong way round! Otherwise as Cassie says.
