We are looking at having a 6ft high fence erected down the side of the garden to replace some laurel bushes. The total length will need approximately 12 panels and posts.

 

Does anyone off here do this sort of work and can you give me a quote, the work is in Gawsworth near Macclesfield, or if the work is too far away give me an idea of how much I should be looking to pay.

We picked some nice panels but 5 panels and 6 posts plus digging out the originals cost a thou

 

Cos it's on a pretty severe slope we needed 10 rather than 5 of the base concretes

I spoke to a chap once who was putting some in for conquest joinery.

 

Iirc correctly he gave a ball park of £80 per linear metre. Obviously dependent upon height that would vary. As would style and quality of panel.

Also bear in mind that some of these panels (very top grade) weigh a bloody ton and are difficult to remove if you want to repaint them thoroughly.
