India

Playing them non-stop all Summer, and it's taken 2 overs for the fawning commentators to make it insufferable.

IPL has all the money but it really doesn't make Indian players any better than they actually are - sadly even the English commentators are all trying to get a meal ticket sucking up, and the Indians are high on their own supply as usual.

  • Absolutely gripping.   You can shove your ODIs and T20's. Test Cricket rules.

  • Test cricket is the pinnacle   For the connoisseur

  • 87/7 to 180 all out.   And Jimmy was untroubled as he didn't face a ball and so ended on his modal score of 0*.

Could have done without that. Going along nicely and then...

Time for Stokes to show

Looks very hard work; need these two and Woakes to turn up as I don;t fancy anyone else in our side if it doesn't flatten out.

Losing this

Losing this

Aye - if Root wants to query dodgy decisions, there's one he could reflect on from 1030 yesterday.

Need a big partnership from 5th, 6th or 7th wicket to get anywhere near them, but even then will be a long hard slog batting last

That said, I don’t know how they can give that out

Might turn over for the footie

Jimmy was in the second best partnership, but he lost his partner when on 1*.

Too many batting collapses.

Get PP in to give them the "thou shalt not pass" talk.

Well, if we bat it out, we win

No fuckin chance

Don't anticipate bairstow managing much with a broken finger either.

A day away from winning the series

Kinell, thy cup overfloweth.

Nice to hear a good bit of batting though.

Is now about the right time to sarcastically suggest we might win this, whilst really harboring a faint, ridiculous hope?

It’s now, or never

Buttler gone for 106.

Bairstow didn't last long.

All over bar the shouting.

Cant win them all.

Just need 210 on fifth day with Rashid and Anderson as last wicket partners! They have already put 20 on, so what odds another 210?

Forfeit/declare over night? hope for rain? last wicket heroic partnership?

Looked okay with Jos and Ben, but then yet another collapse, these players they keep bringing in never contribute enough, Jennings, Pope, Stoneman, etc etc

The return of Vince will be welcomed, I’m sure

We need to rethink our structure; Test cricket first priority
