November 11, 200421 yr That actually reminds me of a not-all-that-interesting tale of how one Nov 11th, some of the top-dogs from the multi-national German company that I then worked for were over and we had to explain the silence to them. They were very good about it and, once it had been explained what it was all about, observed the silence along with us.

I dont know if its because of the current war, ragging ignorant if it is, but I am sure more people had them on last year. Also kids do not seem to be wearing them, it was almost part of the school uniform when I was at school. Is it the same back home? November 11, 200421 yr will be a parade in town centre on sunday, my father in law is bursting with pride because he has been chosen to lay a wreath for the veterans association. the roundhouse( haliwell social reform club) will be full of vets on sunday, hip flasks ful of brandy, medals on show etc. God bless em all.
