  1. Sol's a whining arsehole, they've been singing that to him for a while now haven't they
  2. yeah it's shit well remember the champs years where it seemed like every game was midweek, us being giants in that league and everything i think we went for months at one point without a 3pm Saturday ko mind you Mancs set the record didn't they sell your soul to the devil and all that
  3. one 'n' in 'init' fella I for one have not that much against you other than the usual stuff, I much enjoyed your good year under fat sam when you well beat the big boys and they all moaned about route one when in fact you played them off the park, that said your first ball to the good player that then brought it down, Davis?, did tag you for many as a direct team anyhow, we're at least trying toplay some passing football, here's to you doing the same, it'll make for a good game if you do
  4. actually I'm not, it's genuine, I had a good laugh here two years back and got on well with some of your lot congrats on the bus, I'll be taking my 3 year old out on his third trip to the football, I suspect you'll be getting drunker than me 'red ginger' sigh
  5. anything can happen and doubly so with us but more than ever i think we're going to perform and beat you proper 2-0 if you turn up and 3 if you don't, shitty early ko but i think the crowd'll be up for it and the players will want to impress, and they're on the back of some wins mind you, the forecast is for rain so that'll suit you lot
  6. yes, I do apologise, that early ko is a red ginger init, our Totts ko has just been moved to a Monday evening, so there's one less day out getting boozed and frothed up I only just turned my mid to this game and remembered you lot, and it took me a while to find you and the remebr my password, etc etc etc Is it really 5am? Ain't club coaches shit other than when they're free
  7. that's the spirit although thanks for calling us 'big'
  8. which station, be careful either way sadly I'm shooting off to a family dinner in sarf London afters be careful with public transport, there's all sorts of nonsense going on, even for London on a Sunday
  9. West Ham? erm, the couple of games under Zola/Clarke have been something of a revelation for us, the new boys have really made a difference, Llunga from the Congo at left back is solid and bombs forward, of late we've played a combo Faubert/Behrami on the right, both quick and lively and it's worked so far despite neither being proper defenders Captain Lucas is in Central Defence and seems to be finding less room to get out of position in there than right back, Upson seems good although he's been out so long we forget There's something going on with Noble and Parker in midfield we haven't worked out yet, a Zola thing, it might be Parker endlessly crunching and water carrying and Noble doing the forward pass thing, aftr Curbs, any sort of method and big picture is hard for us to recognise, the supposed;y good Bellamy (but who would know) is supposed to be nearly fit up front the boy Cole is ragging good other than he not only can't score, he never looks like scoring the new bloke Di Michelle, what you;d expect from an aging Italian really, lightweight, does little but makes the odd quality run/shape/space and has tucked a couple way already broadly speaking we're not bad and fairly optimistic, fairly steady at the back and got some genuine width of options going forward and it seems we mean to which is nice and barring the usuals, your normal Northern Monkey/dirty northern bastard tag might have been subsumed by the Wigan/SheffieldUtd Northern Alliance I've given up on Ashton, suffice to say he won't be seen tomorrow good day out gents other than being thrashed natch
  10. after blowing the dust off my inbox, the drinks invite was one Traf drinking in the Harvester there was talk of both sides challenging for Europe!
  11. Howdy gents, I remember posting up a storm on here a few years back, run up to us playing you lot a few times in a week a few years ago, we had a cup run (faints) Anyhow, someone on here, he was hawking some sort of RAF shot them down T shirts, kindly gave me an invite to his boozer, on the day we were whisked straight from the coach to what passes for a miserable away end bar erm, I'll be in the Black Lion in Plaistow, five minutes from Plaistow tube and a bracing 15 minutes from the ground, it's the only pub for miles that serves a good bitter, anyone that wants a good beer and a chat is more than welcome, I'll be in the back bar in a 1920s retro top witht he sting type neck, tall if you want something more lary, the Vic on the way from the station will do you, if you don't best behave while walking past it, the Black Lion is safe, honest Anyway, safe day out fellas, if you bring more than a few hundred I'll be impressed, you've always brought piss all to our place, no piss take, simple fact Hope to see any of you tomorrow Sadly the pubs not open until 12, they seem to be oblivious to the fixture list title typo. sigh, bit late init
  12. yes I know, that's exactly my point and the joke I made at the beginning of the thread although Samuels can fcuk off, I don't care for his lazy populist journalism about the club and the Board, red ginger's gone quiet on that score, can't think why
  13. amen to that, we fear no-one etc etc but someone easier while the big boys smash int o each other would be nice
  14. I thought there was a general angst on here about the meedja not paying any attention to you while we basked in the radiance of flash bulbs and sunday supplement double page spreads as the capital's journo cosied up to us and kissed our arses or something
  15. we did sing that a bit towards the end of the game and afterwards, to make the coppers twitchy, not that they needed the help, they were rather keen to make arrests, pointing at the away fans was cautioned at one point, I had to howl my foul mouthed and abusive threats with one eye on the brooding rozzers, that's plain not on 10.05 does suggest one of the sofaratti, he may have sung that in his front room, not quite sure why he think any of you lot would be interested, a few of our boards went down under the deluge at 10.05, perhaps a port in a storm anyway, I assume the mob has moved onto to a city board and is now poised to deliver fresh wit and sizzling humour to whichever helpless sacrifice is delivered to us come the draw on Friday
