We shouldn't be playing on Sunday IMO.

 

All the UEFA teams have to play on Sunday, because they played Thursday: I can accept that, but that's 5 teams in total this week: Everton, City, Villa, Pompey and Spurs.

 

Why couldn't the Premeir league have arranged that on the Sundays after UEFA games, the UEFA teams just play each other on the Sunday?

So, for example this week: Pompey could have played Spurs and City could have played Everton etc. It would also cut down on fans travelling after a European away trip.

These games could also become the Sky live games, we could still play West ham on TV, but either at 1pm Saturday on Sky or 5.30 on Setanta.

plus when the fixtures came out, city and villa weren't in the uefa, they were in the intertoto

Is a joke there will come a day when everygame is on a sunday because of a mix of TV and European games. Only then may the authorities do something about it.

You are forgetting that West Ham won the world cup. And even though they don't ACTUALLY play in the UEFA cup and Champs League every season they believe they should be treated like any other top European side. So we play them on Sunday. It all makes sense !

Obviously the Tues/Wed/Thurs games will be defered in favour of European games when applicable, but fixture lists will be "re-addressed" on a monthly basis, and the schedules arranged to suit television audiences. Naturally, during the winter break (2 weeks) games will be played all over Asia and the US, meaning really daft kick off times.

 

I would also expect Richard Keys to say something along the lines of....."to vote for which match you want to see live next week, press the red button now, the results will be given after the final whistle of "West Country Pirates" v "East Midlands Warriors"
