Should I Go To United At Home This Season?

Not exactly sure what the Spurs fans have been singing/shouting to Campbell but going off the BBC article it doesn't sound like racial abuse. If this is the case I'm thinking a lot of people are going to get banned when the Munchen Sh!te come to town, not to mention Wigeen, Cr@pburn, etc. Always like to hurl abuse at the opposing team so would be a shame if the FA banned this as well as standing, drinking, enjoying, etc.

It was racist, and gayist and mentalist, to be fair they can sing what they like for me but shouldn't you know the facts before arguing a point?

From what i heard there was no racism involved. The other two were though.

Why is it always the poor black players that causes a stir when they get called - they use it to promote there race

If we call someone a bald headed @@@@ or ginger haired @@@ or a fat @@@ or a freak (in the case of crouch) nobody bats a eyelid; its part of football banter but we always protect black players

For god sake its just a different skin pingent and IMO they should get bigger balls and put up with it like others do

There is an obsession with songs/chants at the moment.

Fair do's I don't agree with blatant racist stuff but do we really want grounds rippling with polite applause?

Yeah some players (who usually have asked for it) take some flak. Then they get back in their Bentleys and go back to their mansions.

Boo feckin Hoo.

Worst abuse I can remember an ex-Bolton player getting was Jeff Chandler with Derby in the mid-80's. The Paddock was more inventive than the Yids as well :o

Dunno George Ooooooogarnia got some serious sh!te off the paddock when he played for Burnley, Bolton market sold out of bananas that day.

If memory serves me right homophobic was the theme?(Jeff Chandler)

His hair cut was never going to help.

Mrs Chandler's choice of profession was called into question as well.

Aye a perm in them days was asking for abuse. :D

No one got more abuse from the Burnden crowd than Alan Ball. A local lad and a world cup winner but that didn't matter, he had a high pitched voice and that was enough for the Bolton fans to take the p!ss out of him. I don't remember him complaining or the papers making an issue of it.

Alan Ball used to give us the "V" sign when he came over to take a throw in...all part of the game in those days, rem

ember when he got sent off, Burnden went crazy....as for Jeff Chandler he deserved all that he got...the biggest coward ever to play for us, talk about "a disgrace to the shirt" my mum would not have backed out of as many tackles as he did

EYES RIGHT....

well said west mids ...

if i call a player a black ???? it is not through racism it is just the most obvious feature of the bloke.

same as fat ( hartson ) ginger ( strachan ) big nose ( summerbee ) freak ( francis ) ect....

Sol's a whining arsehole, they've been singing that to him for a while now haven't they

Sol's got a widening arsehole

:o

Indeed it was. Thing is though, while we fully expect that eventually the likes of Crouch (FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAK!) Seaman (Lost the World Cup), etc. to eventually retalliate with a mouthed expletive or the odd V sign or, in Seaman's case during that FA Cup replay pulling his shorts up tight to reveal his arse at us, if any of them did it today they'd be on a charge from the fA for bringing the game into disrepute and a million and one other charges because of two things:

1. Kids and families at games.

2. Cameras watching almost every player's every move.

Agreed but isn't that the problem with football these days? Managers, players & fans all complain that the atmosphere at grounds these days is poor compared with the past. Kids and families don't create atmosphere. The banter that used to go on between fans and players added to the atmosphere. Some players can take it and actually thrive on it (John McGinley - Wolves) others can't (Alan Ball - Bolton, Sol Cambell and any other fans in the country) Its all down to our PC corrupt society!

i blame crawley............
