Mates a massive fan, he has rated him for a few years as he had heard very very good things from even the youth team. He is extremely highly rated at the club. I haven't seen him much but from what I have seen I would say he is going to be very good.

Duuuurrrrr no...
I'm all for opinions and free speech...
but when it is suggested that we will win away from home...
when we haven't managed one all season...
and for us to score what appeared to me quite a number of goals, when our "top" scorer is on 4....
then I would suggest that that person's lift doesn't go all the way to the penthouse...or has the obligatory Wanderers Ways Googles on...
capiche....or shall i draw a picture?
Picture?

We will stay up because there are 3 worse teams than us in the league. Derby are already down, I can't see Fulham staying up which just leaves one position for any of about 5 teams, of which I don't think we are the worst. IMO the 3rd spot will be between Wigan, Reading and Sunderland.
-
Aparently he can play all positions accross the back.
Agreed we're probably a little top heavy in def now.
I also heard he can play across the back, and maybe if we were really short at CB then he could play there. All I was saying is that at the moment we have suffiecient cover at CB who aren't doing too badly, and he is doing very well at RB, personally I wouldn't change anything.

we have a new forward vaz te
Good one, cheered me up slightly.

I'd be very surprised if Megson doesn't choose AOB & Cahill of Metie. Some of his errors have been criminal, a la back heel clearance into the path of the attacker against Wigan.
I'd like to see Stienson at CB & JOB back on the right.
I agreed until then. Stienson is a quality right back, he is good in defence and good going forward, JOB is w*nk at right back. With Miete AOB Michalik and nw it looks like Cahill then we don't need Steinson at CB.

Been told we have bid ?2.2 Million for Marko Babic from Real Betis. They want ?4.5 Million for him but we are trying to sort out a deal.
No other news from Spain, possibly the direction of Barcelona, for an ex player?
As for this guy I have never heard of him so can't comment.

Not many. I think our attendance will not be too bad, but with Fulhams whole 87 fans there is a whole stand empty. 17897

It will be between us and Brum. Taylor chose us over Sunderland and I'm sure Cahill will do the same. As for Brum they have more chance of dtaying up than Sunderland and he would also be in the Midlands aswel.
Personally I think if we offer him a decent wage then he will choose us.

just been on news at 6 in talks
Did they say he was actually in talks, or did they just re-word Megsons news conference in which he said nothing like.
-
At least he wont be going AWOL this time! LMFAO
Tyls I saw the thread title, saw your name as last posted, put 2 + 2 together and nearly creamed myself. I take it you have not heard anything oh knowledgable one?

I thought we were signing Eidur then
Thought exactly the same Garrp. I suppose this is quite good news as well though. Depending on what mood he comes back in.

baros is a headless chicken
and at villa as prolific as davies
try again
id much prefer to see nugent become available, which is probably more likely now
Really? I suppose everyones opinions are different, but for me I think they will be about the same price, and I would much prefer Baros then Nugent. At the moment though I wouldn't mind Nugent to be brought in.
-
baros a good un?
i'll pass
mifsud?
so good he's still at coventry
i've seen nowt realistic signing for anybody that i'm sad to have missed out on
IMO Baros would be a very good signing, always rated him at Liverpool, and he didn't do badly at Villa. He is way better than anything we have at the moment.

This is highly not possible...but people were mentioning Lucas Padolski..perhaps something could be done here
Bridgey the idea of Podolski coming here, is even further out than Al Habsi going there.
-
I don't rate the guy, but we are in no position to let more forward players leave. Yes he frees up wages, but unless we put those freed up wages to use then it is pointless. I would only let him go if we already have someone coming in, and at the moment we don't.
His pace could be badly needed in our front line soon. We will have Davies Stelios and Nolan in the front 3, there is no pace to exploit a defence there.
-
Great idea TSO
I've never really understood the Nat Bashers meself
Is there such thing?
-
Are we actually discussing the possibility of signing David Villa?
Exactly what I thought garrp. While we're at it Ronaldinho is out of favour at the moment, lets stick in a bid for him, you never no.
-
David villa is a top player, I would think top 4 clubs would be interested in him.
Correct Mounts he is a top top player. I didn't know that he had fallen out with people at Valencia, but even if he was looking to leave we would get nowhere near. He was rated as good as if not better than Torres when the 2 were in La Liga, not only would the price be way too high, but the competition would be way too good

If we beat them like George says they will be a very long way down. Leaving only 1 more relagation place which means it even less likely of us going down. I can see a frustrating game just like the Derby one, but I think Nolan might pull us out of the sh1t again.
-
A good point. No matter how poor they were, we have been sh1te away from home and they were confident with the new manager. We looked solid at the back, Steinssen looked very good to me, very solid and can kick a ball down the line without it going out.
McCann played better than he has done, and Nolan showed once again that he is Bolton through and through (standing on the touchline when he was subbed giving orders like a manager)
Like others have said, a goalscorer and maybe a creative midfielder in and we will be easily mid table again.
As for JLS I thought it was more of a very good save than a bad miss.

has it?
all i can think off is manyoo and citeh who both lost people connected with the club in the crash are wearing commemorative shirts for the match in memory of those who died.
perhaps if they wanted other clubs to wear special shirts and hold a one minutes silence then i could understand getting pissed off.
there is a point where hating united becomes a bit rediculous and begrudging them rembering those who died whilst representing their club is that point i fear.
Completely agree. I doesn't mean that I hate United any less, but at the end of the day a lot of families and freinds lost loved ones. And after recentley experiencing that I know how bad it is. And anybody who thinks that what happened is good is either saying it to go along with the crowd, or just a sick person.
