Yeah I agree here. I don't think theres a real argument for leaving them at home. With the way TT set up in those last 30 mins, they wouldnt have had any impact in that moment. Saka/Rashford on the bench were the pacey players that were needed.

DNA and a style of play is definitely something we don't really have. But in this instance for me, TT had the opportunity to go for the jugular and didn't. It wasn't really anything to do with the players. He made a very poor decision tactically and that's what flipped the game.

Cant disagree with you there buddy. No foreign manager has ever won the World Cup. Had a quick google around for English managers domestically and what they've won (Prem, FA Cup, League Cup). Eddie Howe — Newcastle, EFL Cup (2025) Harry Redknapp — Portsmouth, FA Cup (2008) Steve McClaren — Middlesbrough, League Cup (2004) Howard Wilkinson — Leeds United, First Division title (1991–92), the last English manager to win England's top-flight championship. Its pretty sad that's it.

The unfortunate thing is we as a country aren't very good at producing real quality English coaches/managers. There's no real forward thinking and creative managers out there, no one willing to think of something new. Plenty of pound shop Peps who have no idea how to adapt any further (Evatt a prime example). Which filters down into the football itself. England have no identity when it comes to a style of play. This has been going on before TT took charge though, so its definitely not a new thing. The FA have some tough decisions to make. Tearing everything up means another stagnant few years.
