  1.

did davies not miss a great chance at 1 up then?

Yes and 2 others as Agreed. At least he was in the right place to test the keeper. What did N'gog do? Did he ever look like scoring? He was put through and a proper striker would at least have got a shot off but no he tried to take an extra touch and the chance was gone. My point is that N'gog was terrible today, he was on his arse half the game, nothing stuck to him, he contibuted nothing. Davies put a shift in and did a lot of good stuff but that

Gets ignored by the usual suspects on here. By all means lets move away from Davies, but to what with current options?

  2. No other striker gets / will get the same crack of the whip as he does / has done.

Plays pretty much week in, week out., regardless of form.

Given as many games in the team, Ngog would eventually score goals.

    No he wouldn't.

  3. it's all about facing up to the truth

I would love N'Gog to be the answer, I really would. I don't like slagging our players off or making scapegoats but for me he is Fabian De Freitas Mark II and will never do it for us. That's my truth.

  4. Totally agree we need to move on from SKD. The mons shite. He had three proper chances and missed them all! You just cant afford that luxury no matter how hard some fans look through rose tinted glasses. If he would have taken one, 2 nil game won. Its not his fault, hes just shit.

Did you go to the match today? How the fuck can u single Kevin Davies out as shite? He may be past his best but this is still better than N'Gog will ever be. I am sick of smug 'superior' folk on here telling me N'Gog is the answer and it's just the way we play, we don't use him right, he will tear up this division etc etc. A 30min cameo is not enough. He is not a striker and never will be, he has no killer instinct, no anticipation, utter shite. Coyle wasted £8 million on him and Sordell and Afobe has shown nothing so where are our striking options?

When Davies went off we won nothing in the air and looked less likely to score IMHO. That's not rose tinted glasses.Three proper chances, maybe but you want us to pin our hopes on N'Gog? (I remember one chance when he tried to take another touch-again! And a lot of falling on his arse, but hey lets bash KD coz he is 'shite') We lost that game because of our strikers, agreed but there are three others at the club besides KD and they are the ones that are utter shite.

  5. Fucking daft.

Afobe mark 2. For every game this twat plays its one less mark Davies plays in his proper place. Or eagles aswell. Or pratley whose equipped himself well last match apparently.

And for every match he's on the bench it's one less space for Riley or vela when fit or eaves or any fucking youngster.

Ffs we really are on our arse if we are feeder clubs to shite like Norwich.

Fucking daft before you have seen him play ? I don't know if he is to complement what we have or a replacement lets just give DF the benefit of the doubt? He has got to sort out Coyles mess and loan signings might have to do until January.

We are on our arse in the championship thanks to Coyle and the new man might just be shaking a few up, letting them know no news place is guaranteed.

  6.

    Proven shit?

Eggs fackin zackerly! McCarthy by premier standards admittedly has been woeful and I don't get the 'charisma' angle, his press conferences are embarrassing, right up there with Warnock IMHO.

Souness was voted worst manager ever by one quality paper for his management style and Jimmy Krankie well he upset his fair share at Derby & Forest.

Am hoping DF will be the answer, now let's see if the players are as good as we think they are. Onwards and upwards!

  7. If Freeman gets us up would anyone have any confidence in him doing a job in the premier? He would get eaten alive in the premier League. Listened to Adrian Durham today who is a first class c**t but does some times talk sense and he said when Palace went to 10 men on Saturday and 2 up Freeman did not have a clue what to do and only scraped a draw due to poor finishing and a couple of crucial saves late on, tactically inept and concede goals it sounds familiar. aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh.

I normally agree with you on most things Mount but I don't get why you are so keen on

MM? He did get eaten alive in the Premier, the two lowest points totals ever, until Derby came along IIRC. Never rated him at Wolves either (think Coyle managed to beat him most times). Also someone on Burnley board reckons he wants to bring 8 of his buddies with him when he gets his new job. Don't think that would suit us much.

  8. Ok I hear all the misgivings about Freedman but wouldn't Holloway be a big gamble as well? I was hoping to get Holloway but the more I think about it he could end up being Coyle Mk2. Ok done a reasonable job with Blackpool but has he taken them much further than before he arrived? Won a play off but couldnt keep them in Prem.Talks a good game but defensively I don't rate them that much. Didn't do much at Leicester (a bigger club) so perhaps Holloway might be a bigger gamble than some are thinking.

  9. Halifax (was it the FA Cup? And ex filth in goal for them who got some stick or have I imagined that?)

Blackpool in freight rover (pretty big fence or so I remember it!)

Hull city (that Friday night game)

    Wrexham (last match/promotion)

Don't think I ever did it at burn den, was with dad against fulham and Preston so best behaviour.

  10. Mears has been very poor since he started this season. Is joe Riley fit? Is this another 'if your face fits' with Coyle? Some get bombed out (going back to Muamba) others get picked despite deserving the chop. It's utter bafflement , I can't fathom the bloke at all.

  11. It really is getting depressing now and it's hurting. From a premier league club to an irrelevance in the Championship in very short order. Thanks Owen. We are pushovers now. Our defence is appalling, we need at least 2 goals to be in with a shout of a draw but have no goalscorer. For gods sake Gartside get someone in with a tactical brain and someone who can get the best out of what we have. Let's get Bolton back to being the team no one likes to play. I really think we have the players we just need a decent competent manager/coaching set up.

Look at wolves, that bald twat has come in there, had to sell his best players but has them organised. 3 clean sheets away from home = 3 wins. What chance have we got with Coyle and his yes men.He has run out of time surely now?

  12. I really don't see how anyone can want us to go down. It will be very hard for Bolton to get back. I don't see another Sam Allardyce out there. We are much more likely to do a Charlton. You might get to visit a few new shitholes but 12,000 or less at the Reebok, no thanks.

The Premier League is the place to be, better to 'make the numbers up' here than being a total irrelevance apart from the odd gratefully received cup draw. For a club the size of Bolton to have stayed 11 seasons in the Premier League is a fantastic achievement no matter what other 'fans' may think. If we can make it twelve, well I will be more than happy with that at the moment and then hope springs eternal for the next season.

After Saturday though I can understand why some of us might be trying to convince ourselves the Championship isn't that bad. That is where we are headed and I am not sure Coyle can change it.

  13. Still in shock, thoughts go out to his family. Was a wonderful player for us, might have played for us at the end of his career but made a massive contribution and I always thought it proved a great signing. For this to happen, at that age and with so much apparently going right for him football wise is just unbelievable.

  14. He looked nervous today and didn't give off much confidence. Not blaming him for the result but that cock up when he came flying out and the cross that slipped through his fingers, added to the usual concerns- low positions he takes and his kicking. Not looking good.

I would like to know how much of a football decision it was to sell Al-Habsi. If Coyles hands were tied and ?4m was just too much to turn down that's one thing. If Coyle rates Jussi the better keeper then there would be doubts about the managers judgement.

Not getting carried away by a predictable loss but we look so bloody fragile at the moment. Norwich should be 'interesting'.

I was also disappointed that it was not just our players who went missing today but our manager as well.

  15. If true that is music to my ears, and it shows Cahill has a brain, Spurs way of being top 4 if BWFC can keep in the top half of the league the only reailistic improvement Cahill can make is to sign for a top 4 club and hopefully makes it a little more likely we can persuade him to sign.

Don't think it makes him any more likely to sign but if he didn't fancy Tottenham (and why would he when he might get a shot at a top 4/champions league and has played for England with little old Bolton) then there should'nt be any proplem with his attitude until January.

  16. I certainly do not feel sorry for Everton. Don't like them at all, some of the scummiest big time Charlies ever to visit the Reebok. Sat behind Derek Hatton and his entourage once. Behaved like they were visiting dignataries from some jumped up banana republic. Which come to think of it, they were I suppose. Arrogant, pretentious bastards they were and that has nothing to do with politics. A Bolton 'goal' just like 1966 would be perfect this season.
