  1. Though I share everyone's frustrations, why are we suddendly a bad team even before a ball has been kicked?! Your comment about the team that finished last season being better than the one that will start on Saturday is way off mark IMO. One - loathe him or love him, we will have a fit and hungry Diouf back who will add some creativity in the final 1/3 of the pitch which we have desperately missed. Two - we will have a stronger back four with Meite replacing Jaidi (or Bruno who didn't play much after Christmas anyway and was showing signs of his top flight career coming to an end) and a more recognised left back in Fortune who replaces Pederson. Three - Influential Campo will be fitter after getting over his injuries. Four - I'm open minded about Vaz Te and I'm sure he will be a better player than last season. He did finish the season by scoring a few in case you had forgotten?! So, the only players who are missing are Faye and Gardener (who missed last cpl of games). As we stand, the starting eleven will be stronger than the one we had towards the end (and IMO all season) of last season and will get stronger when we get Faye and Gardener hopefully back within the next 2 months. Yes, we are desperate to add to the squad and a min of two players (the obvious 15/20 goal striker and a creative midfielder) who can go straight into the 1st team. Ofcourse, injuries and suspensions will crucify us if BSA doesn't add to the 1st team and squad but he has 2 weeks to sort it. And before you say it YES why hasn't he signed the ones he needs by now and where are the six he was signing before the World Cup? BUT the 1st team is more than capable of a top 10 finish as it stands. We just need the extra bit of quality for the UEFA Cup spots. Remember that these players have kept us in the top eight for three seasons and the starting eleven is that little bit better this time around and we can/will still add to it. Win, lose or draw on Saturday we are a good team who will have another good season. The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys.......
  2. Sunderland?
  3. Natasha, I don't post a lot on here and I've been reading some of your valid and not so valid posts. But I'd best order you an ambulance. As some posts have already mentioned, you should look at what the Midlands can offer, the North East, Merseyside etc.... It's fact that a lot of Premiership, and I guess lower league, players live in Bolton so that in itself speaks volumes for the town and what it has to offer. You don't even need to drive 10 minutes out of the centre of the town to see some fantastic areas to live if you had the money and wanted to live there...Chorley New Road and Lostock, Egerton, Edgeworth, Bromley Cross to name but a few. And then you have the countryside that belongs to our town which speaks for itself...Rivington, Jumbles, Entwhistle..... Bolton has given our country a hell of a lot and will continue to do so. Taking Manchester, what has that got to offer a footballer that Bolton can't? Yes, Manchester has the shops and though I hate to say it, for the top footballers, United were you have a chance of silverware and Champions League football pretty much every season. Everyone knows a footballer or more the greed (mercenaries if you want to call them) and chance of silverware dictates to a large extent which club they will go after. London apart (and who would live there?), all other areas of the country are nip and tuck in terms of what's on offer. Are you actually from Bolton? A true Boltonian? A true Bolton fan? [-X
