  1. With Freedman and his cohorts in charge, we will be relegated this season, or be very very close to it. I don't think the club can afford to sack him. But then again, can the club afford not to sack him. He is too negative, on the TVs in the concourse last night at half time it showed 69% possession for Boro. That for a home match is a nightmare, against a team that on paper were no better than us. The team do not appear to have any confidence, and don't look as though they are comfortable playing to his system. We desperately need midfield players who can keep hold of the ball and pass now and again to someone in a white shirt. Players who are not dispossessed with a slight nudge. I cannot for the life of me see any way out of this mess. I thought I would never say this but even Megson set up the side better than Freedman, and played better football.
  2. The email from Charlton said that the change was made because of several reasons. Backlog of fixtures in April, postponements during the bad weather, and that the new manager seeing that they had a long journey to Sheffield Wednesday on the Monday wanted the extra 24 hours rest because of their perilous league position.
  3. I telephoned Trainline, they were quite helpful, £10 administration fee for cancellation, then send your tickets back by recorded delivery (£1.70). When they receive your tickets they refund your bank with original details. Then rebook your new tickets. I did this including the Day Cards on underground. I've worked it out that we wont be out of pocket with the free match ticket, in fact a couple of quid up. At least Charlton had the common decency to reply promptly explaining why they needed to change the fixture. Those wankers at our place have not had the decency to reply.
  4. I have just received an email from Charlton Athletic. They say that anyone who can provide proof that they have had to pay out extra to change their travel arrangements will be provided with a free match ticket. They advise us to contact BWFC ticket office.
  5. I had a Saturday Day ticket for me and my mate. I found out at lunchtime today, but there was nowt on the BWFC website, although it was on Charlton's. It makes you wonder how much Bolton argued over this, they rolled over in a pathetic manner when Middlesbrough stitched the away supporters up earlier this season. The people who will suffer as usual are the "proper" fans who had booked in advance, and will lose out financially over this cock up. I emailed customer services at the club asking for consideration to be given for a refund of travel fees already paid out. I don't expect anything other than a fob off, and them telling us to take it up with Charlton. This is a fucking disgrace, another example of football club's apathy towards their fans. The thing they probably do not realise is that the more cynical of us may have reached the stage were this is the straw that breaks the camel's back, and make a decision not to renew their season tickets.

I believe the semi finals are the week before. I went to Charlton last year, and that was also Easter Saturday, went with a Saturday Day Ticket then. If none come on sale it will have to be by coach from the club.

I've been monitoring Trainline for the Charlton match, no Saturday Day Tickets as yet. Neither Manchester club are in London that weekend , so that usually means there are cheaper tickets on offer. None for the Millwall match next weekend either.
  8. It was bad then, but as Bolton fans we were used to crap. The difference in my opinion is that the players gave 100 % then, they couldn't help being shite. Some of this lot do not give 100%, that's the difference.
  9. I'll be there, as regular as clockwork for 50 odd years, not expecting owt, not getting owt but fucking aggravated . What I would like to know is the real state of the club, there is a stench emanating from the Reebok at the moment. From the top to the bottom. Who is at fault ?. One thing is for certain , it aint us the supporters.
  10. Good un Bolty, how very droll. That Kenneth's certainly had some women in his time.
  11. Yes chaps, I am feeling rather tetchy at the moment, in fact I'd better turn this thing off for toneet. Will take solace with the whisky bottle.
  12. I've just joined this forum, I have supported and watched Bolton Wanderers for well over 50 years. I am as fed up with the state of our great old club as everyone else. I have no doubt my thoughts will not be met with agreement with everyone, although I think I have similar opinions as most supporters. I just hope anything I put on here will be sincere and honest. I'll keep off the board though when we have lost, that's when I am at my most irritable.
