Yep just read up on him,fits into the type of signing SS/Harkin are starting to try and bring in ie young but already established at a decent level would instantly fit in and plenty re-sale value in the future

One player from the Evatt days has had a new contract......Sheehan and rightly so The others that are left may or may not get a new contract when their present one runs out....Forino i would be looking to extend it now Evatt was great the first three seasons he was with us....Trafford in goal and Bradley season he should of got us up but was more interested in improving his % win games in the EFL cup. The following season football giants Carlisle and Wigan came to our place and played a high press and i knew he had been worked out. That was when he should have changed but no same thing week in week out even down to the same substitutions at the same point in the game. At that point i had no disliking for Evatt but how did he re-act he threw his coaching staff under a bus....Their fault then the players. Then the stories on here started of players not training etc,etc. Yet he still would not own it after the oxford game blaming the players mentality. Oxford got lucky that day with the Maghoma injury but like Carlisle and Wigan six months previously they knew a high press would do us........And it did. That summer the board wrongly give Evatt £3m plus to in fact make us worse. Schon, Mcatee and Randall came in and none have set the world on fire Schon we got a get out of jail Randall we will take a big hit this summer and Mcatee is a tryer and Sunday he paid a little of his fee back with that header. One piece of SS being a astute coach has yet to be picked up on this forum and that was getting a fee for Cogley and not replacing him in the January window. He knew Desmond would do a equally good job at right back as Cogley but it would only be until the Summer.....SS i have no doubt is thinking a little in front and that is what makes a person stand out in life they think ahead.

Perhaps when he reports back SS gives him a chance in the first few friendlies and perhaps tries Conway further forward SS will see him everyday and he will know whether he will be in his plans next season. Sometimes it takes a player 12 months to settle into a club

Forino and Sheehan are quality not sure you are understanding what people are saying. As for the others you named we limped into the play-offs, and hands up TuTu was exceptional against Stockport and Bradford. The defence has been awful this season. Three keepers and again the only decent performances came in the play-offs Note the keepers are SS signings and not Evatt to even things a little. Off hand we got rid of more than three at Christmas Morley, Vic, Forrester, Cogley and the two keepers replacing them with Another two keepers Kenny, RR, Apter and Blackett-Taylor I would say the January signings got us over the line.

I have a alternative view the reason we never got promotion Automatically was because we still had too many Evatt players in the building. We cleared what we could last summer and no surprise to see another three discarded in January. Think we are down to five and i would guess three of those may not last the Summer. We never relied on those players this season .....We stumbled through and two put in great performances in the play-offs but not enough the whole season to give them a new contract. That is not having a go at the three who we released. SS just thinks they are not Championship standard. .. SS soon carried on the axe this week and if he got offers for most of the others they will be gone

I thought Taylor was a good signing last summer so as you say the Jury is out until we get to see him play. These are the players we need to be aiming for, same as the lad we got from Ireland and the keeper from Fleetwood. If one or two out of five or six stand out in the Championship next season we can move them on at a decent profit while still progressing year on year. We will also need to bring in Experience but again i do not want us to be bringing in players for one last pay day Huddersfield do that and it does not work

He was heading to Aberdeen by all accounts if the result had not gone our way Sunday. Plenty of interest in him from home and abroad including Italy. The snippets of information i have found on him seem to suggest he is highly regarded Scottish Young player of the year 24/25 Killie Fans player of the year 25/26. More than once i have seen him compared with Mctominy....We all know the Scottish Premier league taking away the top three or four teams is awful but with only a nominal fee these are the signings we need to make.......He could turn out to be like Kenny or Richard Taylor it is a gamble that worked last season we signed some quality and some dross

Not convinced at all he will stick with the same system he has used most of last season in which case i can see a couple of quality midfielders brought in. Think we are close to bringing one who will compete with RR for the ten. Randal may as well get onto his agent...Loaning a few out is another option

Looking at that retained list it is piss poor would not keep us in lge2 at present SS/Harkin have a busy Summer

Certainly add RR ....Firinho is the best defender at the club by a country mile not sure SS thinks that, and Simons and EE can be improved on

No mention of Gomes either. Randall, Toal and Mcatee are the only first team players from Evatt last squad excluding Sheehan who is the only one to get a further contract. I think Johnston, Dempsey and TuTu knew they were off a couple of months ago and will have got themselves a club lined up. Good judge of character by SS because those three put a shift in until the end. Not sure many of those he got rid of last Summer would have done the same

Looks like the first name through the door is Killmarnock Scottish u21 player Dave Watson on a free. We had a six figure bid turned down in January. Highly rated and plenty of interest in him

No issue with either will always get a warm reception but it is time for both to move on

Not one of the best defences this season....No hate for him 100% every week but got caught time and time again this season. Would be a liability in the championship. Let him go and further his career at somewhere like Blackpool playing every week. Like Dempsey he never let the club down but it is time for him to move on. No Championship club are taking him
