But we are not buying these players to depreciate....We are getting them at a young age, right price already with experience....Doubt we will be looking for many players around age 30 giving them a long contract. Everything rightly in my opinion to a more solid system. SS will have one remit this coming season that is to finish 4th bottom or better. Horses for courses what worked in lge1 wont work in the championship.

It is a massive step up for everyone in our squad. Yes i noticed that he was mainly benched Feb onwards He had obviously one eye on signing for us. Not sure many or any are putting the lad down. I am certainly not and his stats attacking wise backs that up. The debate is mainly will he be left back or further forward in future. I think he can have a big future but not at left back.....Repeat that is NOT putting him down

It is not about you or me but SS and he has chosen to play a centre half he knew he was releasing there instead His stats are amongst the best at attacking for a left back but his defending is woeful because he gets caught out up the field time and time again. Moving him into midfield is the logical solution

Those stats are all attacking based compared with other left backs. If he played in midfield his stats would be off the scale compared with someone like EE, but would probably be behind RR Stats do not tell you the true picture....They had Toal and GJ as the most touches of any players in lge one yet that is what hindered us at times.

Those stats read them are all about his attacking part of his game. Nothing about his number one priority Where are tackles won, headers won......All those stats point him to being a midfielder I suspect if they put how many times he was caught out of position that would be right up there. He is a talent that is for sure but not at left back.

Agreed not got the pace to be a wing back Or the positional nous to defend as a full back What he can do is run all day,tackle and pick a pass everything you need in a midfielder

100% every game, the only fault he had/has was not lifting his head hence the awful tackles he did most weeks

Great shout. Like you i think SS will abandon the two wingers next season. He can put his own mark/system this coming season. Hopefully with defenders who defend and a stronger midfield

Yep and he looked comfortable there, he did not have to run with his head down and he never had to be aware of who was behind him. I agree with you the best he can hope for next season is the bench. He is opposite to Thomason he needs a man behind him to give him that freedom. Would be amazed to see him start a league game again at left back.

He is the modern fullback/wing back at the moment but his defending is not good enough to play as a full back He will have more freedom in midfield, he can run all day, tackle and pass. Jumps out for me. Is he good enough to play now in a SS team i would say no only because we play with only two.
