  1. A derby fan on another forum said Borges is the best player he’s seen them play against this season when they played in the JPT. Also saw that he was going to have a look at Derby today as well. Don’t think it’s nailed on?
  2. Daily Mail reported it was 29k avg 2 years ago. There is an article from 888sport saying 35k but no idea how accurate they are. By the time you factor in appearance fees, loyalty bonuses etc it’s probably not a million miles away. Loyalty bonuses are crazy nowadays. Although agree that some of the bigger clubs have reigned in their spending or are now back in the prem.
  3. If we are splitting hairs we technically just made a profit on Baka. Imagine it wasn’t huge mind
  4. I think that fee quoted in the German press was his value on Transfermarkt. And I thought the article said offer would need to be higher than that? Might be wrong on though?
  5. If there’s championship clubs involved making multiple bids then Dapo must want out. It’s a natural next step for him and you don’t receive multiple bids nowadays unless the player has said to his agent he is interested in the club making the bids. We’ve probably said he can go when valuation has been met and now it’s been met. It’s definitely the next step for him if he does go to the championship (unsure if St Pauli is a step up with where they are atm but are a pretty big club). If we can bring in 2/3 for the money then happy days.
  6. Yeah long term deal but I still think he’d be cheaper than Bradley atm. Still in the millions and still unaffordable mind. Traff is a really good gk with potential to be a great gk but there’s quite a few good young gks about. Attacking full and wing backs have almost become the most important positions in football nowadays as most teams generate all their width from those positions. They now have to be the fittest players in the team and be able to move into midfield, underlap, overlap, defend and attack - they’re the most dynamic players on the pitch.
  7. Yeah I can’t see it. More chance of getting Trafford than Bradley imo and I can’t see that happening either. It’ll probably be another academy loan that he’s meaning. Unless we go and spend some money on Ayoub Assal or someone like that. We will be guessing until the news breaks!
  8. He signed a new 5 year deal 18 months ago. So 3 and a half years. I agree Neco played more for the first team when he left but is a full 2 years older and hadn’t done so by Conor’s age. Conor has played more senior games than Neco did at the same age. And Neco’s appearances were mainly off the bench albeit at a higher level. I’m not saying Conor is better and agree that buy back clauses etc can bring up front cost down but even with a buy back clause other clubs would offer millions for him. We aren’t in the position to offer millions even if we get a decent fee for Dapo. How much do you think Liverpool would sell him for? A 19 year old, current international who will likely be in league 1 team of the year… who has championship teams requesting they cancel the loan in Jan to let him play at a higher level and plays for one of the biggest and arguably wealthiest teams on the planet? 5-10m seems the right ball park to me if not on the low end.
  9. Bradley would be 5-10 million quid at least. They got 17m for Neco Williams who is 2 years older. A couple more loans for Bradley and he’ll be worth that. We have absolutely no chance.
  10. I’d like to see us take a punt on McCauley Langstaff. Clinical finisher. Not saying it would work out as it’s a step up but would be a good punt and we are crying out for a goalscorer. More likely it’ll be an ‘exciting’ academy loan to cover Thomason’s injury.
  11. Williams is left footed. Plays right wing or left wing back. So if it’s happening it will be to play left wing back not replace Bradley. He obviously doesn’t fully fancy Beck, John will be leaving and Iredale is injured.

If it’s trump... can you get him to build his wall in front of our goal?
