It's hard to put a number on it when we don't know the exact quantum of players who will stay on, and those that have departed. Obviously we know a handful of departures, such as Ameobi and Connell. We are talking wages since February here though aren't we. Don't think it will be too small a sum, but given the fact this might just be on "departed" players, then that will obviously play a part.

Really don't know how I feel about FV asking players to defer 80% of their salary for 24 months. Doesn't bode well, and I can't imagine that will sit right with a lot of our existing playing staff. We all accept there is a massive rebuilding job on, I just hope they have the resources to pull it off. Edit: I have just re-read the tweet; it appears the payment is to "departed players". Not sure how that one will wash given they have left. I hope they can come to some form of resolution I really do.

Interesting. I saw Nixon post about the club getting monies this week which could be used to pay wages and get the game on. I can't see that being the solution though as a lot of the squad registrations would be wasted on kids. It's now or bust for FV surely, unless I'm missing something obvious here.

I think this has been answered already but my understanding was that upon completion football creditors would be paid in full and therefore they wouldn't be on strike. A bigger concern for me is if we could even register the players in time

If the takeover is done by Wednesday all will be forgotten, we will be on our way to Wycombe, beverage in hand ready for the season ahead. I keep telling myself they'll complete this week. But then again, I did do that all of last week.

I wouldn't want to stop people getting excited but given the hotel administrators report said they will now begin the marketing process, I just can't see anything happening for a few weeks. I know as much as anyone else though - back of a fag packet guess. The only thing I'm clinging to is I really don't think the EFL will let us play at Wycombe with the young lads. I think that will the spark that gets this thing sorted ASAP

Share allotments isn't a Director leaving, its granting of shares. The nominal value isn't indicative of the wealth of the people behind FV, it is just so that each individual granted, has a % share in the company.

There is also an alleged meeting between the EFL and FV tonight. Whether that's true is anyone's guess, but a few people seem to be of the opinion it's tonight.

I think thats what Nixon is implying though - that Bassini is going above the amount required. In that kind of scenario it doesn't sound like James has much of a say. It makes little economic sense to over pay on something that's loss making, but with just how crazy Bassini is, we can't write it off I don't think. If FV won't complete until this hotel stuff is sorted, we are in for a tough opening to the season at the very least.

That's what I was getting at, sorry I should have been clearer. From what I have read it sounds like FV want the hotel before completing for the club which does make sense. If someone's coming in with a better offer for creditors on the hotel then it makes it a lot tougher. I think the missing piece for me is how much of a say Michael James has in all this. Basically if someone came and offered slightly more money, whether it could be turned down on the basis of him wanting FV in the door. I really don't know if that's possible - but if anyone else has an idea that would be very handy...

Nixon now claiming Bassini going above the asking price for the Hotel to try and get the club that way. No idea if that is even possible but the thought of Bassini getting near the club terrifies me to be honest.

This Ash also claimed on the 11th April that a takeover was "closer than we thought". I am filing it swiftly under the category of someone sat behind a keyboard trying to act "in the know". Even if they are a genuine person, for all we know it could be someone with intentions akin to Howard; to stir doubts with the bid in order to create further uncertainty. How many times have we heard the lines "local party interested". It simply is not true. As much as the Bolton News have got a few things wrong in their time, I really do not believe Marc Iles would write that story today without genuine insider knowledge. Looking forward to just getting back to talking about football, and signings.

Anyone can create a twitter account and spout some rubbish until someone picks up on it and all of a sudden it's believable. We've been told heads of terms were signed. BEN said just this morning we could get news in a couple of days. I don't get why people out there such as Nixon insist on fuelling a conspiracy theory. Unless FV walk away there's nothing to worry about yet. Speclation is what Nixon wants. It keeps people coming back. He's not there to just help Bolton fans know what's going on for the goodness of his heart. I mean FV had to have their funding ratified. If the "investor" just pulled the plug, I'm pretty sure we would have known something. That doesn't just slip under the radar when we are in administration.
