Widnes Two Hats Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 suggestions anyone ? not the marriot [-( What's wrong with the Marriott yer puff? I've stayed at two others which are the Boatotel and Ibis Stopora.... both were very good, oh I also stayed at the Avenue once facing the London Bridge pub but my room got robbed there by one of the staff so I wouldn't recommend that one The Boatotel was very lively full of hen parties and stag do's but if your after something a little more romantic (now Percy's back in working order) then I suggest the Stopera which also has the advantage of being very central Booked both through totalstay.com think they were around ??50/55 per night for a double room (Weekend rates) Dont get any space cakes from the Bulldog bar on the Leidsplien cause they hypnotised Mr H into thinking that Miami White was the devil Widnes
exiledwhite2 Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Stayed in the Ibis Central next to the train station with the missus and it was tip top. Right in town, literally one minute from the station and right near taxi rank if you're travelling anywhere. Plus a bar in t'hotel, net access to get on WW, decent buffet breakfast, friendly staff. Tried other 'smaller' hotels and they were fookin terrible, cheaper yes, but grim So I'd go there
mickbrown Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Last time I went to Amsterdam, I kipped in a spare parking space next to the Lada that 5 of us had lived in for 3 weeks round Europe. I wouldn't recommend it.
